Festival office
The festival office is located on the first floor of the Municipal Culture Centre, ul. Niepodległości 42, Czechowice-Dziedzice.
Please report to the office upon arrival. You will receive your participant pack and the documents to be signed there.
Auditions
All auditions take place in the main hall of the Municipal Culture Centre.
You may wait in the dressing room next to the hall. The stage manager will call participants approximately 10 minutes before their scheduled performance time.
Rehearsals
The hall will be available for rehearsals:
- from 11:30 on Monday, 28 September,
- from 8:00 from Tuesday, 29 September to Saturday, 3 October,
- and during the lunch breaks.
Participants are asked to arrange the rehearsal schedule among themselves.

The festival
The auditions and the meetings with the jury are free and open to everyone.
Meetings with the jury take place daily at Piwnica Muz.
Participants have free admission to all festival concerts — just show your festival badge.

28th Alkagran Autumn Music Festival
A warm welcome to all participants of the Competition and the Festival. We have gathered here the practical information that will help you plan your stay.
If anything is missing, please write or call. We are at your disposal throughout the Festival.
Venues
All venues are in the town centre. It is about a 10-minute walk from the railway station to the Municipal Culture Centre.
Accommodation
The number of rooms in Czechowice-Dziedzice is limited — we encourage early booking. Below is a selection; rooms and apartments are also available on booking portals.

Czechowice-Dziedzice is an important railway junction with convenient domestic and international connections — among others from Germany (Berlin), the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and the Balkans.

Locally
Bolt, Uber and local taxis operate in the region — convenient especially after evening concerts.
Where to eat
In the centre of Czechowice-Dziedzice you will find a wide choice of restaurants, pizzerias, cafés and Asian food — most of them a few minutes’ walk from the Municipal Culture Centre.
A few tried addresses to start with: Fabbrica (Italian), Browaria Dziedzice, Pigallo (pizzeria), and for coffee — Kofeina and Proper Coffee.

❗ Important information for participants
XIV Andrzej Krzanowski Accordion Competition
Dear Participants,
Due to numerous questions regarding travel planning and accommodation arrangements in Czechowice-Dziedzice, the Organizers have decided to conduct the draw determining the order of competition hearings earlier.
According to the Competition Regulations, the draw was originally scheduled for 10 August 2026. In response to the needs of participants, we decided to hold it earlier.
The drawn letter applies to both the solo and chamber music categories.
The result of the draw and the recording of the draw procedure can be found below.
Solo category – planned schedule of hearings:
- 28 September (Monday) – approximately 7 participants are planned to perform
- 29 September (Tuesday) – approximately 12 participants are planned to perform
- 30 September (Wednesday) – approximately 12 participants are planned to perform
Chamber music category – planned schedule of hearings:
- 2 October (Friday) – approximately 5 ensembles are planned to perform
- 3 October (Saturday) – approximately 5 ensembles are planned to perform
The final schedule of competition hearings will depend on the number of qualified participants and will be announced after the completion of the qualification process and confirmation of all applications.
Thank you for your understanding. We hope that providing this information earlier will make it easier for you to organize your travel and stay in Czechowice-Dziedzice.

Funding for the 28th Alkagran Festival
We are pleased to announce that the 28th Alkagran Festival has received funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the “Music” programme.
This support will make it possible to organize the next edition of the festival and prepare a rich programme of artistic and educational events. As every year, the festival will feature a number of interesting concerts and opportunities to encounter contemporary music.
This year’s edition of the festival will begin on 28 September. We are already looking forward to the upcoming events and to welcoming audiences to the festival.

Dear KAIAK Participants!
The competition is just around the corner, so here are some important updates:
– You have until Sunday to make any changes to the order of your program.
– Please remember to upload your sheet music: https://drive.google.com/…/1p49aBAR1bfQ7I3nhg7g2zfFL…
– We are pleased to inform you that you can use the WODNIK swimming pool in Czechowice-Dziedzice free of charge, so don’t forget to bring your swimwear! 
Additionally, please keep in mind:
– The Competition Office will be open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
– The Office is located on the first floor of the Municipal Cultural Center.
– The rehearsal room will be available from Monday to Saturday at the following times:
• Monday: 12:00 – 3:15 PM and during breaks between audition blocks
• Tuesday: 8:15 – 9:50 AM and during breaks between audition blocks
• Wednesday: 8:15 – 9:50 AM and during breaks between audition blocks
• Thursday: 8:15 – 9:50 AM and during breaks between audition blocks (except during the lunch break)
• Friday: 12:00 – 3:15 PM and during breaks between audition blocks
• Saturday: 8:15 – 9:50 AM and during breaks between audition blocks
– Dressing rooms will be provided.
– If you need any assistance, feel free to ask the Festival staff.
